Contexte


	Le monde du graphisme regorge de per­sonnes qui ne pensent qu’à ça. Michèle Cham­pa­gne n’en fait pas partie.

Cette canadienne est titu­laire d’un diplô­me néer­lan­dais ayant suivi une formation auprès de l’artiste visuel Daniel van der Velden et du regret­té docu­men­ta­riste Rob Schrö­der à l’INSTITUT SAND­BERG de l’Aca­dé­­mie Riet­veld à Ams­ter­dam. Avec un regard docu­men­taire tourné vers le monde, elle opère comme jour­na­liste visu­elle, mène des recher­ches et déve­loppe une esthé­tique ins­pi­rée de l’actua­lité.
Elle a exposé au Canada, en Chine, en Italie et aux États-Unis, ainsi que dans l’ensemble des Pays-Bas où son œuvre a été accueillie avec enthousiasme.
LE MONDE ÉDITORIAL
Champagne possède une expé­rience irré­pro­chable et a travaillé sur de nom­breux projets édito­riaux primés pour des noms influents.

Pour PENGUIN CANADA à Toronto, elle a repensé le design de HAZLITT ORIGI­NALS, une marque de livres numé­ri­ques qui publie des jour­na­listes de renom comme Patrick Graham, Alistair MacLeod et Ivor Tossell. Elle a égale­ment repensé HAZLITT, la revue litté­raire numé­ri­que phare de PENGUIN, lauréat d’un Prix du maga­zine cana­dien. Avec l’auteur Daniel Canty et la revue ESTUAIRE, elle a créé SEPT PROSES SUR LA POÉSIE, un livre ﬁna­liste du Grand Prix du livre de Montréal.
L’ANALYSE DES MÉDIAS
La créativité de Champagne se transpose aisé­ment dans l’analyse des médias de l’archi­tec­ture et des smart cities.

Sur des pro­jets de recherche et de photo­gra­phie documentaire, elle a collaboré avec les archi­tectes de CHEVA­LIER MORALES pour la candi­­da­ture ﬁna­liste du Canada à la Bien­nale de Venise en architecture. Elle a dirigé l’iden­tité visuelle de BLOCK SIDE­WALK dans sa campa­gne contre le pitch de Sidewalk Labs visant à construire une smart city privée à Toronto. Elle a égale­ment dirigé l’iden­tité et le site Web du CENTRE DE DROITS NUMÉ­RI­QUES de Jim Balsillie.

LA PÉDAGOGIE
Champagne est géné­reuse et une péda­go­gue natu­­relle. Elle colla­bore actuelle­ment avec Dre Sarah Moser à l’UNI­VER­SITÉ McGILL et a ensei­gné et donné des confé­rences à HARVARD GSD et à l’École de design de l’UQAM. Il était une fois, elle a fondé A-B-Z, une école d’art internationale d’été.
Son talent est indé­nia­ble et facile­ment repé­rable par d’autres per­sonnes tout aussi douées. À ses parte­naires, elle apporte créa­ti­vité, rigueur intel­lec­tu­elle et joie de vie.
